Brattleboro Area Hospice is a community resource on issues of death, dying and grieving. We provide free training and education, a lending library that is open to the public, as well as speakers and other supportive resources to help respond to the needs of anyone in the area who might benefit from our services – agencies, organizations, businesses and individuals.
Our thirty-three hour hospice care training is open to the community. There is no requirement to become a hospice volunteer to attend this training. A twenty-hour bereavement training is available to all who have completed the hospice training. We also provide various classes and workshops throughout the year and continuing education to hospice care volunteers through monthly in-services. Volunteer team trainings and specialized individual volunteer instruction is offered on an as-needed basis.
