BRATTLEBORO AREA HOSPICE

We provide non-medical help to terminally ill neighbors and their families, providing practical assistance, respite and emotional comfort.

We are companions to anyone suffering the loss of a loved one, offering individual and group support.

We ask people to consider what gives their lives meaning and encourage them to make sure what they value is part of their cherished time on earth.

We believe reflection on being mortal is essential to our quality of life, and support individual and group exploration and education on the issues of death, dying and grieving.

OUR SERVICES

“The most basic and powerful way to connect to another person is to listen. Just listen. Perhaps the most important thing we ever give each other is our attention.” ~ Rachel Naomi Remen

“It’s only when we truly know and understand that we have a limited time on earth — and that we have no way of knowing when our time is up, we will then begin to live each day to the fullest, as if it was the only one we had.” ~Elisabeth Kübler-Ross
