04 May Do you like to help people? Join us and help your neighbors!
We offer a new kind of volunteering that enables you to assist your fellow community members to complete their Advance Directives. Our volunteers tell us providing this free service to our neighbors feels important and deeply gratifying.
We will train you in the basics of Advance Care Planning. You will empower people to clarify their end of life wishes, communicate them to loved ones and healthcare providers, put their plans in writing, and register their wishes with a VT registry.
The Advance Care Planning Volunteer 2021 Training will take place on Zoom four days in June, 9 am -12 pm each day: 6/17, 6/18, 6/21 and 6/22.
This is a very special learning experience as it will be taught by expert Cindy Bruzzese, the Executive Director of the Vermont Ethics Network (VEN). Participation requires an application and interview with applications due by June 1, 2021.
For more information and to request an application please contact Don Freeman, TSB Program Coordinator at 802.257.0775 ext 101 or by email don.freeman@brattleborohospice.org.
