Meditation Group for Volunteers

We are excited to announce a new offering
here at BAH….

One of our volunteers, Josh Vajcovec, has graciously offered to facilitate a meditation group for volunteers here at 191 Canal Street!

The benefits of meditation are well-known and without question… as are the challenges to maintaining a consistent practice. Some of us were thinking it would be nice to have a regular meditation gathering, to support each other in this positive practice. And who knows the power of a supportive group better than hospice volunteers?

And so, we are starting a weekly meditation group for BAH volunteers!

We hope you will join us!

  • We will not be practicing a specific style of meditation.  We’ll keep the time, you are free to practice any way you’d like (as long as it doesn’t involve chanting, I suppose).

  • It will not be a class to teach you how to meditate. Although some guidance may be shared amongst members, if requested.

  • No experience necessary. The good news is, if you can sit quietly, there is no wrong way to meditate.

  • These will not be very long periods of meditation.  Each week, the group will decide how long we want to sit on that day.

  • No long-term commitment.  But if you always wanted to develop a consistent practice, we are here for you. If you join us every once in a while, that’s okay, too.

We will meet weekly in our upstairs community room on Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm starting Monday, September 11.

Space is limited and RSVPs requested, so if you are interested, please call Ruth at 802-257-0775 ext 102 or email ruth.nangeroni@brattleborohospice.org and I will put you on the email list and send more details when we have them.  Thank you!
