A gift of a bank account

By retitling a bank or credit union account as “Payable on Death” it will pass directly to Brattleboro Area Hospice upon the donor’s death, bypassing probate. It may be possible to name Brattleboro Area Hospice as beneficiary of a portion of a “Payable upon Death” account. You will have full control of this account throughout your lifetime.

What to do next: Talk with your banker who can provide you with the necessary paperwork to complete this transaction and we suggest that you always consult with your financial advisor or legal counsel prior to making a planned giving assignment.

We would be happy to meet with you to further discuss your hopes for leaving a legacy.  Please call the office at 802-257-0775 to schedule an appointment with the Development Director.

Thank you!
