Advanced Care Directives: “It’s Really About Love”
On Thursday, January 21 at 12:30 p.m., Deerfield Valley SASH is offering “It’s Really About Love”, an informational session on Advanced Care Directives in collaboration with Taking Steps Brattleboro.
Taking Steps Brattleboro trains volunteers to support and guide people through the process of advance care planning. This is a free service to all members of the community.
Joanna Rueter,MSW, the Coordinator of Taking Steps Brattleboro will discuss:
- Why every adult needs an advanced care directive
- How to fill out an advance care directive
- The key decisions that need to be made
- Why this is really about love and
- Any questions that come up
As a family member Rueter has personally experienced the importance of having this paperwork done. She is a Respecting Choices® Advance Care Planning certified Facilitator and Instructor.
