Online and In-person Grief Support Groups

We offer both online grief support groups using Zoom, as well as in-person groups, for adults who have experienced any kind of death loss.  Groups are “mixed loss” groups comprising of people with different types of death loss (spouse/partner, parent, adult child, sibling, etc.)

The groups meet weekly, mid-morning or early evening. The group size is limited to 8 people and registration is required. A group is open to anyone who has had any type of death loss, either recently or in the past. This is an opportunity to connect with others who have lost a loved one, a time for listening and sharing and to access grief support in these times of isolation.

Interested individuals should contact Lars Hunter at (802) 257-0775 x104 or lars.hunter@brattleborohospice.org for more information and to register.   An initial intake (in person or via Zoom) will be required before enrollment in the group. We can help you with Zoom if needed.

Participation is free of charge and open to anyone in the community grieving the death loss of a loved one, no matter when or where the loss occurred.  Bereavement Support Groups offer a safe, mutually supportive environment for sharing experiences through discussion, readings, and suggestions for moving through grief.  No prior connection with hospice is necessary in order to participate.
