Support group for people with family in care homes

Do you have a family member in a care home? Care facilities have strict visiting rules to remain safe, however the resulting isolation has been tough on residents and their families who cannot visit.

We hope to begin a new support group for adults who have loved ones in care facilities during this time of COVID. This group would offer a time for listening and a safe space for sharing experiences, and to have access to support in these times of isolation.

We need at minimum 5 participants to begin this group, so if you are interested, please contact Lars Hunter, Bereavement Program Coordinator at (802) 257-0775 x104 or lars.hunter@brattleborohospice.org, to discuss joining a new group that is forming.

Participation is free of charge and open to anyone in the community. Support Groups offer a safe, mutually supportive environment for sharing experiences through discussion, readings, and suggestions for moving through grief. No connection with hospice is necessary in order to participate.
