Instructions

Brattleboro Area Hospice with assistance from Flying Pig Auctions will use an auction platform called Live Auctioneers. This is a direct link to our Live Auctioneers page.

The auction will go “Live” (electronically) sometime on May 12th with online bidding.  The actual, truly live (online) auction will be on May 22, 2023. 

When you go to the site, you’ll be prompted to register for a Live Auctioneer’s account and then register for Flying Pig’s Auction (BAH) specifically. 

The auction items will be listed by lot number and you can scroll through and see each item with photos. Everything will have a general estimate of $50-$2,000 and an opening bid.  

You have a few choices when bidding:

  • You can leave a bid online at any time up to the time of the auction with your maximum bid and the computer will advance your bid as needed and no one can see your max bid except you!  SO you can bid freely knowing it is confidential. 
  • You can also bid on the Live Auctioneers platform during the live auction on May 22nd starting at 5:15pm! 
  • Lastly, the other option is to bid with Flying Pigs directly either through an absentee bid (you leave your max bid with the auctioneer and they bid for you) or on the phone live when the item is being sold. 

When the auction is over, you will get an invoice.  A 20% buyer’s premium plus sales tax from your state is added when bidding directly through Flying Pigs.  When done through Live Auctioneers there’s a 25% buyer’s premium plus your state’s sale tax applied.
